Homesharing Process

  • Call S.A.G.A. to schedule a Free Informational Workshop
  • All applicant must under go a reference check, criminal background and (drug test requested only in the Match-Up Program)
  • All applicants MUST attend a MANDATORY training workshop.
  • All approved applicants will receive a list of potential homeseekers/homeproviders.
  • Applicants decide not S.A.G.A. whom to meet and, "get acquainted" meeting will be scheduled.
  • S.A.G.A. helps facilitate the homesharing contracts.
  • A consecutive 90 day follow-up monitoring service is provided during the match.

 

How Long Does It Take

The time that it takes to match individuals varies.  It can take from two to four months to make a match. S.A.G.A. will do it’s best to generate potential applicants, but our services are not designed to meet immediate or emergency needs.  Those needing that kind of service can utilize our network of referral service until we’re able to find a suitable match. Service Fee (subject to change)
A $75.00 application fee is charged to all applicants.  This fee covers; credit and background references and the workshop.

Match-Up Program; A $75.00 fee is due per applicant, once a match is made to begin the 90 day monitoring services.

Shared Living Residence Program; A $75.00 fee is due per applicant, once a match is made to begin the 90 monitoring services.  Also, owner's will be assesed a commission fee, based on the 1st month rental, payable to the Brokerage Company(s) involved with the execution of a leasehold agreement between landlord and tenant(s).

Other qualification; Applicants may be required to attend additional classes or life skill workshops to participate in the homesharing program.
